after doing my reps today I realize that 60 second rest isn't too long. in the beginning I probably could have done 40 seconds or so, but by the end I need the full 60 seconds to recoup.

I did not go longer than 60 for any of my rest periods.

Tomorrow is a rest day (for my upper body anyway).

Friday i'll be back with another video.

Thanks for that program, it looks pretty cool.
I agree, you can run a decent marathon just by doing a long run, one tempo, and either hills or some speed training during the week.

Long gone the days when only people running 60 miles a week would venture into a marathon

Thanks.

I still think about her a lot. I just took my kids on their first RV trip a couple of weeks ago.

We went to Maine and visited Acadia National Park and a day in Freeport. The kids loved it and we got some amazing photos. Looking forward to building many memories.

That was a beautiful tribute to your grandmother..and my Aunt Elaine. I just saw this tonight at my mom and dad's in EHC....and many of the things that you did with your Grandmom Elaine my mother also did with my daughter Shelley. Walking uptown on the main street, going to Ade's for candy, playing games together. Shelley drew pictures allot when she was younger too..and Tom and Viola Penza still have many of them as well. This is the greatest gift that a grandparent can leave for their grandchildren...happy memories of doing all those things together, grandparents spending TIME with their grandkids doing all the simple things like walking uptown, keeping pictures, playing games...giving of their time is what kids remember the most. My daughter will have hundreds of very happy memories of her growing up with my mom and dad..just like you have so many with Elaine and Arthur. Those Merkord women make great grandmoms, don't they! A woman you do not remember, their mother, MY Grandmom Merkord...she was the same kind of grandmother to me as my mother is to Shelley and your grandmother Elaine was to you. Grandmom Merkord never had lots of money for presents or to buy us all material things..but she had something that meant even more to us...her time and attention given to us every Sunday out on the farm. Toll house cookies and Koolaid, walks up into the tree field, eating blackberries, hiding the Easter eggs, etc....I'm sure your father has as many great memories as I do of those days on the farm..and your Grandmother Elaine was also a part of it all. Here's to all those wonderful Merkord women!! And you are a wonderful grandson for taking the time to write such a touching tribute to your Grandmother!! She was a sweetheart and we all miss her.

Holy crap it was hot!

finished in 25 minutes and some change. I'm not sure exactly, they didn't have chip times and I was dying when I crossed the finish line :)

Maybe 25:40 or so.

the temperature was just hitting 90 degrees Fahrenheit at the finish line.
